A Different Approach to Retail

On May 11 of 2015 we announced our plan to create an independent company from the former Epicor Retail business unit of Epicor Software Corporation. Just over a month later, we were able to execute on that plan with the launch of Aptos. With it came the realization of our vision to meet the changing needs of retailers with a different approach to retail solutions. Indeed, “Engaging Customers Differently” is the guiding principal behind everything we do to deliver distinctive value to our clients and their customers.

New but well established

So who are we and, more to the point, what sets us apart? One thing is experience. Although we’re the newest name in our industry, we leverage more than 45 years of best practices in developing, implementing and supporting a complete range of solutions that enable retailers to optimize resources, processes, and customer relationships to drive sales, profitability and growth.

With experience comes drive and expertise. The name Aptos is intended to suggest aptitude—ability and skill—plus aspiration and upward momentum. These attributes reflect our commitment to continue to engage, transform, and inspire our clients in ways that are perfectly aligned with the challenges and opportunities they face in today’s retail environment.

Responding to change

Neither of those things matter any more today than the ability to recognize and respond to change. As we all know all too well, the retail environment looks almost nothing like it did five or ten years ago, and it will certainly continue to evolve at an increasingly rapid rate. This constant state of change calls on all of us to become more responsive and entrepreneurial—and at Aptos we are more focused than ever on meeting the needs of our customers with innovative solutions that keep pace with market trends. It calls on us to:
